"The arts reflect the sophistication and enlightenment of all societies, and the Central Valley finds a treasure in the Bach Children's Choir program. These young people receive extraordinary training that is not only vital to their development as well-rounded citizens, but is crucial to the cultural growth of our metropolitan area."

-- Dr. Anna Hamre
Director of Choral Activities, California State University, Fresno
Artistic Director, Fresno Community Chorus Master Chorale and Coro Piccolo

Summer Camp 2011, July 11-15

Experience a program that brings music and learning together in an exciting environment.

Our program offers an array of enriching music and art-related activities, such as singing, dancing, and playing instruments, challenging children while emphasizing musical progress and encouraging group participation. Campers are placed in an age-appropriate group where they will experience the musical elements of rhythm, melody, and harmony through performance and singing games, or a vocal master class for older students.

In addition, the campers will experience one of the following classes each day:

  • Orff: Singing, movement, drama, instruments, poetry, and improvisation with games and activities designed to develop good rhythm and listening skills
  • Dance: Technique, choreography, creative movement, singing games and dances
  • Drama: Creative expression, introduction to theatrics through fun theater games

Camp Performance - We will conclude the week with a Final Camp Performance featuring the campers music, drama and dance experiences. All parents and friends are invited! Lunch will be provided and you will have an opportunity to register for the 2011-12 Bach Children's Choir season following the performance.

Instructors - Summer camp instructors are drawn from our own staff along with experienced guest teachers and artists. All have knowledge in the arts and experience in working with young children.

Registration - Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited! This is an opportunity you won't want to miss.
